Course name: Training the trainers in information literacy IFLA/UNESCO Instructor name: Elisabeth Adriana Dudziak Title: Graduation in Library Science, Master of Information Science, PhD in Industrial Engineering - USP Association: Universidade de São Paulo Summary: As part of the systemic actions undertaken by UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) and IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations), focused on the dissemination of information literacy (Information Literacy), are being developed training workshops for trainers on the subject in the world (Training The Trainers in Information Literacy) are being developed. The aim of this course is to train librarians to recognize the key concepts of information literacy and structure a program at their institution in the form of a course, tutorial, blog or joint activity with the teachers. The workshop will be practical experience, focusing on the conceptual aspects of information literacy and related educational activities. Each topic will be introduced using power point presentations followed by examples, individual and group exercises. Some readings, videos and dynamics will be included. Participants will be guided to create a final portfolio with their own Competence Information Institutional Program. Parts of the course may change during the workshop, according to the participants' needs. Program Content: 1. Changing mental models 2.
